Google My Business news: Publish your information before your listings being validated

Reading time : < 1 minute

Right after the launching of the status identification tool for My Business listing, Google has just announced the possibility for “non-validated merchants” to publish some essential information about their establishments.

Indeed, until now, owners of claimed and/or validated list owner could simply edit the information until it was displayed in Google Search and Google Maps (once the validation process was completed).

However, this possibility does not apply to all types of information. At this moment, this feature will be available to edit the name of the point of sale, its category, address, time, phone number, and a link to a local page (website). It was also determined that this new feature does not yet apply to all unvalidated listing owners and some users still have to validate their establishment.
